Earth Tones…
Earth Tones…
Sand, pebbles, and round brown stones…
Orange…browns…dark brown tones…
Lady with Earth Tones…
My heart pounds…lady of round mounds…
And sweet sounds…oh pound-pound… pound…
My heart skips a beat… lady with Earth Tones…
Sand, pebbles, and round brown stones…
In this heat…where passion grown…
Love is found for a lady with Earth Tones…
No fashion needs…for a lady with Earth Tones…
Natural beauty…that nature…
Deeds to a lady with
Earth Tones…
Sticks and stones indeed will break my bones,
But never a lady with Earth Tones…
Sand, pebbles, and round brown stones…
I never frown when she’s in town…
I’ll be a clown…to be down…
Lady of round mounds and sweet sounds…
Lady with Earth Tones…
I’ll trade in my throne and my crown for… sand, pebbles, or round brown stones…
Just to be down…
Lady with Earth Tones…Earth Tones…Earth Tones…earth tones….
On Fragile Ground…
How do you walk on a sand dune snaking though a vast desert without shifting the sand?
If you fly over this grand mountain of sand, how do you beat your wings through
the air without causing the wind to blow thus shifting the sand… again?
If I am careful, might a loose feather break free from careful movements, slowly falling free to land softly upon this fragile ground… even the lightest feather from my limbs could… possibly move a single grain of sand… that grain collides with another crashing upon others in an avalanche of pain… thus again shifting the sand and changing the moment… and If I preened every feather from my skin, standing naked as a prune… could I still fly?
This is my paradox…
You are the hardest of rocks, a diamond that crumbled into sand
I hear you calling my name, beyond the sands… I want to reach you…
But with every step closer,
Your voice grows to whispers…
I want to reach the paradise beyond the shifting sands… the sand is quite a beautiful shade of brown, quite like you… maybe a shade lighter…
Yet I know setting my feet, even lightly upon this dune, it may still shift causing a rift beneath my heart… that sinking feeling of my lungs filled with nothing but the quickest sand… This is my paradox…
You are the hardest of rocks, a diamond that crumbled into sand
I hear you calling my name, beyond the sands… I want to reach you…
But with every step closer,
Your voice grows to whispers…
On this fragile ground I stand motionless…
Knowing every step closer to you,
Your voice sinks further away…
I will stand silent
If it means I will still hear your voice calling me… I can’t do without your voice…
And with every step,
I lose the volume and frequency of your song.
I stand silent… I hear the wind blowing from afar
And it worries me. I want to protect my path… I want to protect this vast desert from shifting and changing again and again…
Until I am lost!!! And I will never find you… no not quite the same…
I have no clue what Monsters
Left behind this scorched earth…
This fragile ground.
This place during the day hours burns,
Like the earth has kissed the sun…
It is the fragile ground that Dante Alighieri
Kept from the pages of the “Inferno!”
Yes, it burns me that bad…
And when the night comes finally it is as bitter cold as the forgotten Ages of Ice.
I break and crumble like Dry ICE!
I STILL STAND!
I stand here listening, hoping to hear you shout my name louder and with conviction!
That you do want me near you in paradise…
That you will need my Love, even in Heaven…
If you do desire me beyond this fragile ground
Shout out, you LOVE ME!
And I will run trough this sand
Like Hannibal BARCA!
For knowing your love for me means
My Lord has mercy and urgency
To cease my pain…
I will run through this vast sand…
Leaving only a trail of glass and diamonds…
Leaving a ground as strong and lush
As our original African Earth…
Earth brown like your skin weaved with strong roots to grow upon.
There is reward on THIS Earth,
I heard it in your voice from afar,
Just beyond this desert…
Just sing and allow me to walk
Towards your song…
For today I still stand on fragile ground!
I stand for you Angel,
because my Love needs you.
My Love in not easily broken,
damaged, or destroyed.
My Love is steady and resolved!
I need you to understand this man here…
Is not FRAIL!
This sand is fragile but my spirit is eternal…
AND I WILL STAND!
UNTIL I TOO, AM SAND…
AND THE WIND WILL SHIFT AND BLOW
THE FRAGMENTS AND PARTICLES
OF MY HEART FOR AGES…
UNTIL ONE GRAIN REACHES YOU IN PARADISE!
Even on fragile ground with my last breath…
Knowing… I will reach you, gives me great…
Determined pleasure!
For this I STILL STAND!
